Registration is mandatory to all EEE’s Producers.

Producer is defined per National Decree 230/2004’s as:
“…any person who, irrespective of the selling technique used, including by means of distance comumunication:

i) manufactures and sells electrical and electronic equipment under his own brand;
ii) resells under his own brand equipment produced by other suppliers, a reseller not being regarded as the “producer” if the brand of the producer appears on the equipment, as provided for in subpoint (i), or
iii) imports or exports electrical and electronic equipment on a professional basis into a Member State.

Beyond registration, Producers have to communicate to the National Registration Body the type and quantity of equipment they introduce into the national market, as well as the Collective Systems chosen for each WEEE’s type.
